Caring Orange County Family Optometrists

Costa Mesa optometrist Alisa Wald, O.D.

Alissa Wald, O.D. – Managing Doctor

My journey in optometry began after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1989. A Michigan native (and Wolverine), I fell in love with Southern California and planted roots here with my family. I have been devoted to providing compassionate, high-quality care to generations of families. My leadership is driven by a simple yet powerful philosophy: to offer the best in eye health services combined with an unparalleled patient experience.

I started my first office OC Eye Designs Optometry in Costa Mesa over 33 years ago.  In 2017 I purchased Woodbridge Optometry in Irvine.   With over 75 years of combined legacy in these communities, I am committed to continuing the tradition of excellence at both locations.

Whether you visit me in Irvine or Costa Mesa, you’ll find a team of dedicated professionals ready to help you see the world more clearly. From comprehensive eye exams to advanced medical care and latest trends in eyewear, I am here to meet all your eyecare needs.

I invite you to experience the difference at OC Eye Designs Optometry and Woodbridge Optometry —where your vision is the priority, and your care is my passion.

Alyssa Pedroza, Irvine optometrist

Alyssa Pedroza, O.D.

Dr. Alyssa Pedroza was born and raised in Southern California. She knew from a young age that she wanted to work in healthcare and discovered her passion for optometry while obtaining her Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree from the University of California Irvine. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry, where she graduated summa cum laude.

During her optometric career she received extensive training in primary eye care, specialty contact lenses, dry eyes, and LASIK and cataract surgery co-management. She is certified to treat and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Dr. Pedroza enjoys providing thorough and educational eye exams while offering the best preventative treatments. She especially enjoys preventing myopia progression by providing treatment options including orthokeratology overnight contacts, MiSight soft contacts, and atropine eye drops. Dr. Pedroza also speaks clinical Spanish.

When not in the office, Dr. Pedroza can likely be found at Disneyland trying new food options and riding her favorite attractions. She also enjoys spending her spare time reading fiction novels, going to the beach, and trying new local restaurants.

Costa Mesa eye doctor Jordan Green

Jordan Green, O.D.

Dr. Jordan Green I was born and raised in Barstow, California, where my interest in eye care began thanks to my hometown optometrist. Before entering the field, I spent more than seven years in the United States Marine Corps, including performing as a French horn instrumentalist in Marine Corps bands. My time in the military strengthened my commitment to service, teamwork, and taking care of people—values that shape the way I care for my patients today.

I graduated summa cum laude from the Southern California College of Optometry and completed advanced clinical training in VA hospitals and private ophthalmology practices. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in primary eye care and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease.

I have a special passion for helping patients with dry eye disease, ocular disease, and myopia management. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is building long-term relationships with patients and getting to know their unique visual needs. My approach is simple: provide clear explanations, personalized care, and solutions that help people see—and feel—their best.

Outside of the office, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, and spending time with my wife, our young son, and our dog. As a lifelong musician, I still play the French horn and remain an enthusiastic fan of classical music.

My goal is to make every visit comfortable, informative, and positive. I’m grateful for the opportunity to care for individuals and families in our community and look forward to being your trusted eye care provider.
